Inspired by the Jesuit value of educating the whole person, St. Bonaventure's College offers dynamic extracurricular programs that foster leadership, extend the classroom experience and build community. Skills that may not be gained through the prescribed provincial curriculum — time management, social and life skills, cooperation — are addressed in these programs, in a nurturing environment where friendships flourish. Clubs are shaped by student interest: each year students and teachers can propose new clubs, and parents are welcome to volunteer their talents.
K–6 programs
- STEAM — imagine and create through play, ingenuity and innovation using science, technology, engineering, art and math
- Yoga — self-health, relaxation, self-esteem and body awareness through non-competitive physical activity
- Art Club — art activities and seasonal crafts that spark imagination and creativity
- Homework Haven — junior and senior high students help elementary students with daily homework, under teacher supervision
7–12 programs
- Social Justice Committee — charitable works and awareness of global injustices
- Student Council — elected representatives building school spirit
- Debate Club — persuasion, public speaking, reasoning, research and leadership
- Drama Club — the dramatic arts, culminating in a spring production
- Dungeons & Dragons Club — storytelling and decision-making in a team-building game of imagination
- Gardening Club — the school garden supplies a local food bank and the school's own weekly salad bar
- Choir & Instrumental Band — ensembles that perform locally and internationally
- Student Ambassadors — welcoming new students and giving tours to prospective families
- Duke of Edinburgh Award — the prestigious program encouraging positive skills and lifestyle habits
And every spring since 1908, student life is recorded in The Adelphian — one of the oldest school yearbook traditions in the country.
